Really great cushion....exactly what I needed Nov 21, 2009
By another busy mom... I started to have problems with circulation and numbness in my lower legs while driving long distances. My car is only 4 1/2 year old, yet I finally figured out it was likely the seat, and I could not adjust the angle of the seat so that I didn't have this problem. I decided that a cushion which propped me up so that I wasn't sinking down in the seat might help avoid the swelling in my legs.
I purchased this cushion after looking at the reviews for all the others, and this one looked the best. It is really comfortable, seems durable so far, and I have not had any more issues with circulation/numbness while driving. Problem solved!

Good Comfort Nov 09, 2010

It works well for me a 180lbs male. Provides enough support and it's shape well to reduce the pressure on my tailbone. I was hope for firmer foam, but this one works better than a couple others I have tried.

Good quality cushion, needless ridge in center, had to turn it over. Mar 05, 2011
By RobS I bought a car (Toyota Avalon) which has very hard seats (cloth). They are also slanted uncomfortably upward at the front. I suffered sciatic pain with them, so I decided to try a wedge cushion. I tried pillows first but they did not help. This cushion is actually very good. It is thick enough to supoort my 155 lb body and resiliant enough to spread the weight evenly without creating pressure points. It does not compress much, which is what I wanted. It does not slide around, or move when I enter or exit the car. I like it, but wish it were a bit wider. But the center dip that goes from the opening in the back to the front seems unnecessary and I feel it in my butt as I drive. I have not driven long distances yet but it seems like it would be annoying after a while. I just ordered a FIRM Tush Cush to see if it will be better (since it is flat without any ridges and is actually a bit taller at the back (3 inches) and also 1 inch wider. What I like a lot is the wedge shape, which makes the car seat flatter and raises me up, helping relieve the pressure I used to feel without it. I recommend trying this for yourself. But note: it is wide enough for me (I am a short guy, about 5 foot 7) but I think it may be too small for larger people..
UPDATE: I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and had to turn it over so that I am now sitting on the flat surface, not the scalloped, shaped one. The flat surface works well, although I had to throw a memory foam bathroom mat over the cushion for more comfort. The cushion is soft enough and not too high. Works well in my Toyota Avalon, although I am sitting very close to the roof now. I just drove 10 hours from NC to NJ and walked away without any pain in my buttocks or legs. I would recommend this to smaller-framed people. Oh, the FIRM Tush Cush was not good for me, I am returning it..I have written a review for it also.

Good for the heiner. Jan 08, 2011

I'm a web developer and spend all day almost everyday glued to the PC so being able to sit comfortably is very important. I once heard it said that the mind won't absorb what the arse won't endure, well this seat cushion helps me get comfortably through the day.
I was using a memory foam cushion that did well for me for a couple of years but was starting to loose its resiliency so I took a chance on this product and so far, I've been using it about a month, I'm very happy with it.
It is a bit firmer than I was used to but after a couple of days I got used to that and I've found that it does keep the cushion from bottoming out.
All in all I'm very happy with the product.

This Seat Works Oct 01, 2010
By William Roark The Contour Freedom Seat works great. I bought this a few months ago to use in my vehicle when I drive long distances and it works as advertised. I have a problem with my coccyx or "tail bone" which is minor unless I'm forced to sit for long periods of time (like driving). Normal pillows or cushions just don't work very well, but this works great. If you need it, buy it.
