I bought this product with the expectation that it would help provide temporary relief from back pain and assist with positioning when trying to sleep related to herniated disks in my lower back, unfortunately this product does not live up to the representations shown. This product is good if you are a small petite woman or child. I am an average size woman with a ht of 5'7" and my arms hung off either side and my feet dangled off of the end. The woman shown in the picture must be extremely petite. The massage feature is a joke, no variable speed and requires 8 AA batteries and has no power. Be prepared to use alot of pillows to put under either arm, under your head and at your feet if your over 5'2", heck if your going to use that many save your money and buy more pillows. You can buy alot for $200.

I have scoliosis and the best pain management I can find is massages. I wanted to try a massage mat so that I could take some of the pressure off my husband and my wallet (massages from professionals add up quickly), and I was also excited at the thought that I could have a massage whenever and for however long I needed. I was so disappointed with this product, though, that I immediately returned it and am now using Homedics Select Masseur-In-A-Box Massage Mat with good results, but that's another review.
To start with: The way this product was advertised to me was as a sort of "memory foam" with massage capabilities, however, this is the least foamy of any foam product I've ever tried - you most definitely will not "sink" into this lounger, which means that many parts of your body (especially your neck and shoulders) won't touch the foam and therefore won't ever feel the massage vibrations. Scoliosis patients with even the slightest hint of an uneven back will be further discomforted by this lack of "give" to the seat.
Once you're settled in, you'll notice that the massage vibration are, basically, a joke. There's a teeny tiny little battery case dug into the foam (and it's a pain to get to, believe me) that you load a few batteries into place (AA, if I recall correctly, but it could have been AAA), and then you slap the case closed and turn the "massage" feature on, and the foam seat starts vibrating. The vibration is soft enough to not help muscle pain but strong enough to give you one heck of a headache after several minutes (the hard foam seat probably didn't help on that front). You can't control the location or intensity of the vibrations, so either this seat will meet your needs perfectly or it won't - and I've got odds on the "won't" side of the fence for most sufferers of serious or even casual back pain.
I would not recommend this product - it felt like I was lying on a hard slab that had decided to half-heartedly vibrate from side to side in an attempt to give me a serious headache.

I have a bulging herniated disc in my back and havent been able to sleep comfortably for months. Last night i slept on this and it took enough of the pain away that i slept soundly and i woke up able to walk! (which is usually not the case!) Although i would have wished for a info packet to be included i was so very pleased with this product and would recommend it highly!

Great product. Very fast service and delivery. Very versatile. It has helped a lot in my ACL reconstruction rehab. Using the lower portion alone, (with the small lumbar pillow to support my ankle) I am able to keep my knee elevated at just the right level to reduce swelling and remain comfortable. I wouldn't have wanted to do this rehab without it. The massage feature is surprisingly strong for running on batteries. The whole support system comes in a convenient carry bag and is relatively light weight. I would recommend this product and this company.
